From founding through to the next energy chapter, ERS Energy has been at every inflection point.
The company was formed as Malaysia’s Feed-in Tariff framework was still being drafted, with solar adoption in its earliest days.
Building on our first installation, we took on our first public-infrastructure-style deployment.
A formative year that placed ERS Energy among Malaysia’s earliest officially-recognised solar installers.
As the home solar market grew, we moved from one-off homes to developer-scale residential work.
A year of stepping up — bigger engineering scope, a second product line, and the team outgrowing its old office.
Our first work in East Malaysia — a different grid context and logistics model than the Peninsula.
A pivotal year: international footprint opened, formal quality management in place, residential scale crossed, and a seat at the Energy Commission’s utility-scale solar (LSS1) bidding.
ERS Energy was entrusted with the EPC role for one of the country’s largest solar installations of the time, demonstrating our capacity for complex, large-scale execution.
ERS Energy’s breakout year — our delivered utility-scale LSS1 project in Malaysia, the 100 MWp threshold crossed, and regional EPC appointments kicking off international expansion.
A decade in — and the Vietnam office delivering its first projects.
A three-headed milestone year: first PH utility-scale project, a national C&I client rollout, and a major capacity threshold.
A landmark utility-scale delivery — the 155 MWp LSS3 Pekan project in Pahang, completed across complex geotechnical conditions and monsoon environments.
Formal occupational health & safety standard in place across all operations.
A gigawatt of solar delivered — plus two regional firsts.
Expanded our service model into design-only consultancy abroad, with environmental management formalised.
A national milestone in grid-scale energy storage — the MyBeST programme establishes the first standardised framework for utility-scale battery storage in Peninsular Malaysia, critical to grid stability as renewable penetration grows toward the NETR’s 70% target by 2050.
